Small wooden figurine, of John Liston as Paul Pry. Based on the many popular prints of the character Paul Pry, from the play of the same name, which was first performed in September 1825. Possibly made for a print window to advertise the popular prints inside. Made by A. Giacomelli, an Italian, figure and Shade maker, importer of French Goods, jeweller, and confectioner, of 2 Little Bath Street, lClerkenwell.
