In this caricature, Anna Storace wears a white ankle-length dress with laced bodice and two blue stripes round the hem.
Cobb's musical drama, with music by Anna's brother, Stephen Storace, and selections from other composers, was first performed at Covent Garden on 24 November 1789. Anna Storace as Adelina was making her début in a speaking part, although she had appeared in concerts since 1774 and at the King's Theatre from 24 April 1787.
