A lofty overmantel of mahogany with a triangular top and double fluted sides is surmounted by a carved gilt figure of time. The large mahogany dial clock above is made by Vulliamy of London and has a striking mechanism.
The date of this clocks presentation, 1905, suggests Beerbogm Treet gifted the clock as part of the "Extraordinary Repairs" undertook that year.
