H. R. Cook pub. H.R. Cook 20 September 1813, stipple and line 11.3x9.5, inscr: "MISS BOLTON / Engraved by H.R. Cook from the original Picture by De Wilde / in the possession of Charles Mathews Esq." The same plate was issued 10 December 1813 with a different title, "Countess Thurlow, late Miss Bolton", was published by I.W.H. Payne, 1814
The sitter wears a short-sleeved white dress decorated with a band of pink across the bosom.
A popular actress in the first two decades of the 19th century, she married Edward, 2nd Baron of Thurlow.
