Peter Sallis is shown in his most popular and well known role of Norman Clegg in the longest ever running BBC comedy series "Last of the Summer Wine". After 30 years there have been 225 episodes in 24 series, with numerous specials. Its success is due to both the brilliant writing of its creator Roy Clarke, and the comedic interplay between its three central characters, as they live out a second childhood as ageing delinquents around the Yorkshire town of Holmfirth.
He became a member of the Garrick Club in December 1978, and is here shown at the age of 82.
