This photographic postcard depicts a scene from the play 'The fires of fate'. It depicts an ambush or a fight between some actors dressed as north african men, attacking some actors in western dress. The background appears to suggest a rocky desert. The play was written by Arthur Conan Doyle and first performed at the Lyric Theatre in London in 1909, before transferring to The Haymarket.
