This photographic postcard depicts Mr Herbert Jarman, Mr Lewis Waller, Mr Bassett Roe and Mr Shiel Barry in the play 'The Three Musketeers'. The play was adapted by Henry Hamilton and based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas. Lewis Waller first appeared as D'Artagnan at The Metropole Camberwell in 1898, where it became a big success. it then transferred to The Globe before then going on to Her Majesty's Theatre in 1899. The success of the play made Lewis Waller's name in the theatre.
