Coloured postcard depicting actor and actor-manager Sir Henry Irving as Dante in the play 'Dante', from Victorien Sardou and Emile Moreau, adapted by Laurence Irving, and opening at the Drury Lane Theatre on 30 April 1903. The postcard is from Raphael Tuck & Sons 'Oilette' series. Irving is depicted half-length and facing the left. He wears a black cloak and red headwrap with green laurel wreath crown.
