Carte-de-visite depicting Henry Gartside Neville as the serf and Kate Terry as the Countess de Mauléon in Tom Taylor’s drama 'The Serf; or, Love Levels All', performed at the Olympic Theatre, London on 30 June 1865. They are depicted full length in front of a plain backdrop with a draped curtain on the left. Neville stands on the left and faces the viewer. He wears a tunic, shirt, belt and boots. Terry stands with her back to the viewer and her arms on Neville's shoulders. She wears a floor-length light dress.
